Love Goes Yard 3 Times Monday, June 8th , 2071 Amarillo Armadillos designated hitter Jordan Love slugged three home runs against the Florida Flamingos at Florida Man Park, but couldn't win the game all by himself. The Flamingos spoiled his day by defeating the Armadillos, 10-8. "The loss puts a damper on the outstanding game Jordan had, but people will be buzzing about this for days to come," Amarillo manager . "That's gotta be some consolation to him. But knowing Jordan, he would have preferred a win." For the game, Love was 3-for-5 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "The first two I got all of them and it was no doubt they were gone," Love said later. "It seemed like the wind helped it a little on that last one. I just wish Mother Nature had helped us win the game, too." Jordan Love flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Stu Macher in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Stu Macher in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Matt Kumtowski in the 9th. For the season Love has produced 44 hits in 147 at-bats for a .299 average with 10 home runs and gotten on base at a .355 clip. |
