Streak Finally Over, Puppet Held Hitless Monday, May 1st , 2045 State College first baseman Shark Puppet experienced something against the Dallas Dynamos he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The Dynamos pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 22 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Swift Steeds to a 6-5 victory at Ballpark of Meeker. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 22-game hitting streak," Puppet joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." This year Puppet is hitting at a .390 pace with 3 home runs and 8 RBIs. He has played in 10 games and scored 8 times. |
