Hitting Streak Still Alive for Solo
Sunday, August 9th , 2071
The Florida Flamingos may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 10-4 to the Louisville Lemurs, but Napoleon Solo continued to hit like a god.
The left fielder collected 1 hit in 5 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 25 games.
"Solo is playing great and is on fire right now," Flamingos manager said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Solo was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Napoleon Solo singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
For the year Solo is batting .345 with 127 hits and 14 home runs. He has scored 68 times and driven in 38.
