Aviators Get Past Boise for 3-2 Win
|
Outer Banks turned a good effort from starter Joseph Mathys Hendry into a win over the Boise Raptors at Hammond Park. The final score was 3-2. Mathys Hendry, now 11-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Boise's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Outer Banks used the timely hitting of Julio Ruiz Jr. to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Aviators on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I thought Joseph threw the ball well across the board," said Outer Banks manager .
