5-4 Apex Win over Raptors Evens Season Record
|
Behind the bravura of catcher Leon Rosenthal, the Indianapolis Apex topped the Boise Raptors by the score of 5-4. Rosenthal was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Apex. Takeda Takahashi, now 5-5, was credited with the win in 2.1 innings of relief. He allowed 2 runs on 1 hit, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Flop Quads locked down his 12th save.
Harry Callahan, who finished 3rd in the Champions in triples with 5 in 2073, took Boise hurler Nicky Vaseline deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 2-run home run put the Apex on top, 3-2. In all, Callahan had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
