Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Harry Callahan, who finished 3rd in the Champions in doubles with 49 last year, the Indianapolis Apex defeated the Death Valley Scorpions, 8-2. Indianapolis improves to 51-50 with the win. They lead their division by 3½ games.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Iesuhc Yttef? The Indianapolis shortstop had a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put the Apex on top, 4-0. For the game, Yttef had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Callahan told a local reporter after the game.
