Althouse Shines in 11-4 Florida Win
A good performance from first baseman Link Althouse helped the Florida Flamingos defeat the Amarillo Armadillos, 11-4. Althouse was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Flamingos. The win elevated the Flamingos to 50-42.

With Florida leading 5-1 in the bottom of the second, Althouse came up to bat against Amarillo pitcher Wayne Finch Summers. Althouse hit a knuckle curve to left for a 3-run home run. His 14th home run of the season put the Flamingos on top, 8-1.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Althouse. "And not try to do too much."
