The Florida Flamingos picked up a win at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House, dropping the Brew City Bears, 8-4. Moe Mentum, who is tied for 10th in the MiLPBE in quality starts with 14, was the difference-maker. The victory gives Florida a record of 55-48.

Florida catcher Homer Simpson contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a cutter to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 119th hit of the season and put the Flamingos ahead, 4-0.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Simpson said.
