Win Streak Now at 7 for Bears
The inspired effort of Kansas City designated hitter Joe Kirkland was not enough to prevent a loss, 7-5, to the Brew City Bears. Kirkland was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2. "Fire" Aaron Boone was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 18 of 28 save opportunities. With the win over Kansas City, the Bears improved to 61-42.

The Bears got a big hit from left fielder Julio Ruiz Jr.. Facing Kansas City pitcher Bajigy Casmyl [BOT] in the top of the fifth, Ruiz Jr. pounded a 2-run home run to right. His 20th home run of the season put the Bears ahead, 6-0.
