Firehawks Get Clutch Win, 4-3
|
The Firehawks grabbed a win, 4-3, at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons, overcoming a fine effort from Florida pitcher Myles Tremonti. Tremonti went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Mohn Jeans, 4-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 3.1 innings. California goes to 59-44, Florida to 52-51.
Ethan Voss was the walk-off hero for California. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Firehawks first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Voss said.
