Baseball fans saw a good contest between the State College Swift Steeds and Brew City Bears.

The State College Swift Steeds beat the Brew City Bears, 5-3, at Count Longardeaux's Strong Badian Dictionary Fo' My Own Words Stadium. The Swift Steeds got a fine performance from catcher Emidas Blair, who went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The win boosted State College to 57-47.

Early in the game, Blair had a grand slam home run for State College. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Swift Steeds on top, 4-0.

Blair called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
