Flamingos Trip Bears, 6-4, in Extra Innings

The Flamingos grabbed a win, 6-4, at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House, overcoming a fine effort from Brew City pitcher Shota Takahashi. Takahashi went 6.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. Florida reliever Justin Izzo picked up the win to move to 3-4. The Pizzanator III suffered the loss. The Flamingos have now won 7 straight.
Atlas Sluggs drew 1 walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Florida. The 21-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Pedro Papelbottom. It was his 60th RBI of the season.
"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Flamingos manager .
