The Amarillo Armadillos did just enough to secure a victory over the Anchorage Wheelers, 7-6, in 11 innings at The Burrow Presented By Frankie's Fun Bites. Nobody did more than third baseman Gary Love. The win puts Amarillo at 43-62.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With no one out, Love hit a fastball from Waylon Oconomowoc for a solo home run. The Armadillos, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Love.
