Flamingos Hand Kansas City 7-5 Loss
|
The Florida Flamingos besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Kansas City third baseman Joe Kirkland by beating the Hepcats, 7-5, at Florida Man Park. Kirkland was 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI. Florida pitcher Stetson Mixon got the win. He's now 9-5. A Bird was tagged with the loss. Reid Johnson notched his 1st save in 1 chances.
Second Baseman Alan Greer made an impact for Florida, when he swatted a 2-run double off A Bird in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Greer was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Greer said after the game.
The Florida winning streak has reached 8 games.
