Wheelers Deal Kingpins 6-5 Loss
|
Despite a great performance by Chicago second baseman John Tatton, the Anchorage Wheelers defeated the Kingpins by the score of 6-5 at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. Tatton went 2-5 with 2 home runs and a walk. Willie MacDougal came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 3-6. The win has Anchorage at 41-63.
Anchorage won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Beeg Yosh on the mound for Chicago, catcher Parker Steele hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Wheelers fans to their feet.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Steele.
