Good production from left fielder Enrique Checo helped the Anchorage Wheelers topple the Amarillo Armadillos, 8-5. Checo was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Wheelers. Lucas Trenson got credit for the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 3 innings. George Fantobens closed out the game, earning his 12th save.

Cameron Squires, who is tied for 3rd in the MiLPBE in total bases with 225, took Amarillo hurler Kaitlyn Montreal deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 3-run home run put the Wheelers on top, 5-4. In all, Squires had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Checo.

The Wheelers improved their record to 46-60 with the win over Amarillo.
