Wheelers Lose to Firehawks in Walk Off
The California Firehawks faced a tough opponent in Anchorage pitcher Richard Dick, but did just enough to pull out the victory at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons by a final score of 4-3. Dick went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. California reliever Iceman picked up the win, upping his record to 6-6. Bouse Guzer was saddled with the loss. The last-place Firehawks lifted their record to 45-59.

Dante Lopez clinched the win with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the ninth. In the game, the California right fielder went 1-4.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Lopez said.
