A good performance from second baseman Bass Reeves helped the Death Valley Scorpions defeat the Detroit Demons, 4-3. Reeves was 4-5 with 4 singles for the Scorpions. Death Valley reliever Ray Xavier got the win, raising his record to 3-1. Thorne Belfour was tagged with the loss. With the win, Death Valley is 8-10.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Reeves delivered big-time for Death Valley, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Thorne Belfour. The game-changing hit put the Scorpions on top, 4-3.

"I really like what we did out there today," Reeves said after the game.
