With first baseman McLovin Jr. leading the charge, the Vancouver Vandals defeated the Nashville Stars, 5-1, at The Thunderdome. McLovin Jr., who finished 4th in the Legends in slugging percentage with .585 in 2073, was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Chuck Nasty earned the win to go to 4-1. He allowed 1 run on 8 hits, with no walks and 10 strikeouts in 8.1 innings of work. The Vandals, now 15-4, have played some good baseball in the early going.

Early in the game, McLovin Jr. had a 2-run home run for Vancouver. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Vandals on top, 2-0.
