The New Orleans Rougarous defeated the Death Valley Scorpions, 7-4, at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. New Orleans third baseman Abigail Mills had a superb performance. He was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Steven Slothsburg was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. The Rougarous go to 40-68 with the win.

The game turned with two out in the top of the sixth when Mills hit a 2-run single. It propelled the Rougarous into the lead, 4-2.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Mills told the New Orleans Today.
