Sloths Send Death Valley Home with 5-3 Loss
Anthony Stover, who is tied for 8th in the Legends in wins with 2, was locked in. The left-hander led the San Antonio Sloths to a 5-3 win against the Death Valley Scorpions at The Treehouse. Now 7-13, the Scorpions have not played well this season.

Jerry Mander went 1-3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for San Antonio. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Mander, who finished 5th in the Legends in wins above replacement with 5.5 in 2073, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Death Valley hurler John Wittman, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Sloths a 4-3 lead.
