Chicago Hands Florida 4-3 Loss
|
Despite a great performance by Florida starter Stu Macher, the Chicago Kingpins defeated the Flamingos by the score of 4-3 at Florida Man Park. Macher threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, but he couldn't prevent the Kingpins from moving one game closer to the Semi-FInals. Chicago now leads the First Round 2-0.
Tank Fromas came through with a big-time hit for Chicago. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Fromas said.
Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium in Providence.
