Semi-FInals Game 1 Victory for O'Colon and Amarillo
|
The Amarillo Armadillos started the Semi-FInals in style today, downing the visiting Louisville Lemurs at The Burrow Presented by the PBE Bigger Strange Pod by a score of 4-2 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Armadillos left-hander Barto O'Colon threw 6.2 innings allowing 2 runs.
Jordan Love helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run home run. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Armadillos.
"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Amarillo manager told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Burrow Presented by the PBE Bigger Strange Pod in Providence.
