Road Win Lifts Brew City to 2-1 Lead in SF
|
Louisville had no answer for Brew City starter Shota Takahashi, who flummoxed Lemurs hitters as the Bears cruised to victory, 6-1, in Game 3 of the Semi-FInals. The Bears now hold a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series, thanks in large part to the left-handed Takahashi, who controlled Louisville throughout the contest and threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball.
Brew City used the hitting of Marsh Mellow to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Bears on top, 2-0. For the game, Mellow had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Takahashi told the Brew City News. "It's as simple as that."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle in Providence.
