Anchorage Win Evens Series at 3
|
The Anchorage Wheelers and the Amarillo Armadillos will take the Semi-FInals to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Wheelers beat the Armadillos, 4-2, at The Burrow Presented By Frankie's Fun Bites to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Anchorage right-hander Smoki Zazaki had a big role in the win. He threw 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs.
D.B. Barnum had a direct impact on the outcome. Barnum contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put Anchorage up, 2-0.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Zazaki said.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Burrow Presented By Frankie's Fun Bites in Providence.
