Bears Clip Hepcats 2-1 in WS Contest
|
The Brew City Bears got a strong performance from pitcher Fletcher Jones, who stymied the Kansas City offense en route to a 2-1 win in Game 3 of the World Series today. The Hepcats could never get a bead on the left-handed Jones, who threw 6.2 innings of 2-hit ball. The Bears now hold a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series.
Jones, who was born in Madison, Wisconsin, threw 67 pitches over 6.2 innings, while allowing 1 run.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Jones said after the game.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House in Providence.
