Death Valley Wins to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-2
Already down in the World Series, the Death Valley Scorpions put on their best show, beating the Buffalo Surge by a final score of 5-0 today. Xavier Pruitt was special. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Death Valley now trails Buffalo 3-2 in the best-of-7 affair.

Pruitt, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, was dealing all game. He kept Buffalo hitters off-balance, while giving the Scorpions 7 quality innings. Pruitt threw 112 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 4.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Pruitt told the Death Valley Bulletin.

Game 6 is scheduled for Wednesday at Cari Price Memorial Stadium in Providence.
