Apex Hammered by Azza, Drop Game 3 to Toros
The Cancun Toros moved to within one game of the Conference Finals today, downing the Indianapolis Apex on the road at The Brickyard by a score of 4-2. Toros center fielder Xander Azza went 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. The win gives the Toros a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Divisional Series.

Azza had a critical at-bat in the top of the seventh for Cancun, coming through with a solo home run to put Cancun in front, 4-2.

"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Cancun manager told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Brickyard in Providence.
