Althouse, Flamingos Sink Bears Again in Game 2
|
The Florida Flamingos moved to within one game of the Semi-FInals today, downing the visiting Brew City Bears at Florida Man Park by a score of 7-3. Flamingos first baseman Link Althouse did some major damage. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times. The win gives the Flamingos a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 First Round.
Had Ryan Dinger not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Dinger hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Flamingos.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Althouse.
Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House in Providence.
