Raucous Vaughn's House Crowd Propels Voyagers to 3-1 Victory; Series Tied at 1
|
Behind a bravura effort from starter Wallie Choi, the New York Voyagers topped the Nashville Stars by the score of 3-1 today and got their first win in the 2067 World Series. Choi threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball for the Voyagers. The win moves New York into a 1-1 tie with Nashville.
Choi, who was born in Suwon, South Korea, threw 93 pitches over 7 innings, while allowing 1 run.
Choi called the win "a team effort."
Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Gibson Soundstage in Providence.
