San Antonio pitcher Johnny Tatum did his part in helping his team defeat the Indianapolis Apex, 5-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. The winning pitcher was Tatum, now 6-2. He tossed 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 5. The Sloths improved their record to 22-15 with the win over Indianapolis.

Mark Honcho had a big 2-run home run for the Sloths in the bottom of the sixth inning. With San Antonio leading 3-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a cutter from 22-year old left-handed pitcher Nina Alexejeva and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Sloths on top, 5-1.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Indianapolis manager .
