Hepcats 4-3 Winners Over Anchorage
|
Kansas City pitcher Chih-Wei Lee had a large part in his team beating the Anchorage Wheelers, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Matt Buster came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The Wheelers, now 4-8, continue their inauspicious start.
Had Niklavs Stavinskis not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Stavinskis hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Hepcats.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Lee.
