Blaney Steals Spotlight, But Last Laugh Belongs to Anchorage
|
The Puerto Rico Ranas got a superb performance from designated hitter Daddy Blaney, but the Anchorage Wheelers still won the game, 11-7. Blaney went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The winner was Anchorage reliever Cam Maddux, now 3-2. The loser was Harry Berry. The Ranas fall to 7-9 and continue their lackluster start to the 2067 season.
Peter Dawson III took Harry Berry deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run home run put the Wheelers on top, 8-7. In all, Dawson III had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Anchorage manager .
