The Outer Banks Aviators besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Vancouver designated hitter Atlas Sluggs by beating the Vandals, 7-6, at The Island. Sluggs went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Aviators, now 25-14, have won 4 in a row.

Ángel de la Fuerte was the walk-off hero for Outer Banks. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Aviators designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The crowd was raucous," said de la Fuerte.
