The New York Voyagers defeated the Buffalo Surge, 6-4, in Legends Conference action at The Power House. Nolan Tegge pulled his weight. The 10-year veteran went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the win was Taylor Adkins. He went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits. The right--hander struck out 8 and walked 2. Big Rooster earned the save for New York, his 2nd.

New York took advantage of an error in the top of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 4-4, when Brian Payne hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Voyagers in front, 6-4.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Payne.

With this game in the books, New York is 29-13, Buffalo 20-22.
