Voyagers Top Aviators, 1-0, Behind Adkins
|
The New York Voyagers beat the Outer Banks Aviators, 1-0, at The Island. Starting pitcher Taylor Adkins was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Ransom Jones notched his 6th save of the season. The Voyagers improved to a lofty 33-14.
Adkins picked up the win. He's now 5-4, after putting the Outer Banks offense in the deep freeze. Over 8 innings, he allowed no earned runs on 2 hits.
"Taylor did what Taylor does," said New York manager .
