Swift Steeds Lose Contest, 10-0
|
The California Firehawks beat the State College Swift Steeds , 10-0, at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons. The Firehawks got a fine performance from center fielder Ashton Fox, who went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. David Sears, who is tied for 2nd in the MiLPBE in innings pitched with 49.1, was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed no runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. By defeating State College, the 4th-place Firehawks improved to 15-14.
Eun Seong, the California second baseman, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the second inning to make the score 4-0, Firehawks. For the game, Seong went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2.
