Otatop goes 3-for-5 in Armadillos Win
|
Florida Man Park was the site for Minor League PBE action featuring the Florida Flamingos and Amarillo Armadillos.
Behind the hitting of Marcus Otatop, the Amarillo Armadillos defeated the Florida Flamingos, 11-4. Otatop was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Armadillos. IKEA BLÅHAJ [BOT] earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. His record is now 1-0.
Amarillo center fielder Axel Babineaux contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 32nd hit of the season and put the Armadillos ahead, 4-0.
"We're not exactly playing great right now," said , the Florida manager.
The second-place Flamingos have dropped 5 straight games.
