Providence Crabs starter Count Crabula turned in a workmanlike performance against the Buffalo Surge at The Power House. With the victory, the Crabs upped their record to 46-12.

Providence used the hitting of Seymour Baltz to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Crabs on top, 5-1. For the game, Baltz had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
