Stars Slap 4-3 Loss on Space Rangers
|
Nashville beat Lunar Base on the strength of starting pitcher Warren Peace's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Peace, the winner, moves to 6-4. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks. Tugg Boat wrapped it up, recording his 4th save.
Nashville used a well-timed hit by Jimmy Arenado to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Stars ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
Nashville manager commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
Lunar Base's current losing streak is now 4 games.
