A good performance from right fielder Seymour Baltz helped the Providence Crabs defeat the Cancun Toros, 9-6. Baltz was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles for the Crabs. With the win, Providence raised its record to 39-21.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Grayle Traveler came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Cancun pitcher Roquefort Cotswald, he hit a 0-1 sinker for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Providence on top, 8-6.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Baltz told the Providence Daily. "It's as simple as that."
