Pathfinders Need Extra Frames to Get Past Vandals
|
Toronto and Vancouver duked it out and the Pathfinders came out victorious.
Harvey Brinkley Jr. impressed in the 7-6 Toronto win over Vancouver. Brinkley Jr., who finished 3rd in the Legends in on-base percentage with .396 in 2064, went 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Asahi Ishioka got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings.
Toronto relied on the hitting of Nico Hernandez to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Pathfinders on top, 7-6. For the game, Hernandez had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
Hernandez called the extra-inning win a "confidence builder."
The Vandals, now 22-26, have lost 6 in a row.
