Always A. Bummus pitched well, but the Death Valley Scorpions still lost the game, falling, 4-1, to the New York Voyagers at Vaughn's House. New York starter Professor Croakwell was credited with the win after throwing 109 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 6-8. With the win, New York raised its record to 39-36.

The Voyagers got a big at-bat from left fielder Kanutake MeHire. For the game, MeHire went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave New York a 3-1 lead.
