In a remarkable performance, Buffalo Surge starter J.C. Swishman beat the Nashville Stars, 1-0, in an impressive 3-hit shutout.

"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."

The Surge hurler finished with 9 strikeouts and 2 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.

"It was a rough one for my guys," Nashville manager said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."

In 20 starts this season, Swishman has fashioned a 9-8 record and a 2.66 ERA.
