Kingpins Fall Short, 3-2, at Anchorage
|
Anchorage starter Warren Peace pitched well against the Chicago Kingpins at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. Reed Rothchild picked up the save, his 1st. The victory puts Anchorage at 19-30.
Jessica Comeau, who is tied for 3rd in the MiLPBE in triples with 2, chipped in for Anchorage with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"This was a tough loss," said Chicago manager . "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
