Florida Wins, 3-2, Over Ranas
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Florida Flamingos and the Puerto Rico Ranas, LaLa Dee, who is tied for 9th in the MiLPBE in innings pitched with 80.1, proved to be the difference. The Florida right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Flamingos win. The Flamingos raised their record to 20-31.
Miles Phoenix helped out the Florida cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"LaLa throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Florida manager .
