Scorpions Get Clutch Win Versus Detroit
The Death Valley Scorpions topped the Detroit Demons, 3-2, in Champions Conference action at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Death Valley pitcher and The United States, native John Wittman. Lanky Schramm, who is a three-time All-Star, was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Goaty McGoatFace. The Scorpions, now 3-9, have not found much traction so far in 2077.

Death Valley took a 3-2 lead on Y'shtola Rhul's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Rhul hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Detroit pitcher Goaty McGoatFace visibly frustrated.

Wittman called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
