Brew City second baseman Adam-Cole Bay-Bay was sensational. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Amarillo beat the Bears, 8-6. Tom E. Jahns, the winner, improved to 3-11. He held the Bears to 5 runs on 6 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 3. Carroll Niedfeldt notched his 2nd save in 2 chances.

Amarillo got a big at-bat from Newcastle, Wyoming native Beau Mathews, who in the top of the third hit a 2-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Armadillos ahead, 6-0.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Mathews, "but we got it done."

The defeat makes Brew City 38-30.
