Surge Win Conference Finals
Wednesday, September 30th , 2071
The Conference Finals may not have lived up to the expectation that it would be a dogfight that would go the distance. The Buffalo Surge, however, are not complaining.
The Surge were plenty happy to have wrapped up the series early and to have knocked out the New York Voyagers to advance to the World Series.
Buffalo won the final game by a 4-3 count at Vaughn's House and the series 4-1.
Surge third baseman Dimpley Splorger was named series MVP, as he hit .560 with a .577 on-base percentage. He added 3 home runs, drove in 10 RBI and scored 8 runs.
"It's not going to be the last time New York makes it to the playoffs, so it's sure a nice feeling to put them out this year," Splorger said. "We just need to keep this going and take it day by day."
The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Conference Finals finishes.
