Koffman Shuts Out Providence, 7-0 Saturday, May 7th , 2072 Colby Koffman was throwing strikes early and getting ahead in the count, his manager said after the Buffalo Surge hurler tossed a 3-hit, complete game shutout against the Providence Crabs. "I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Koffman. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked.
