Nick Fielder Gets Hit Number 1500 Friday, April 29th , 2061 The day belonged to Nick Fielder of the Outer Banks Aviators as he became the latest player to reach the 1500-hit plateau. He did it in Outer Banks's 11-5 win over Detroit. "It's a moment I'll never forget," said Fielder after the game. "1500 hits is a lot. It puts you in a very select group. I never expected to be around long enough to reach a milestone like this." He finished the day with 3 hits in 5 at-bats.
