Doug on Fire: 5-for-5 for Seattle
Friday, May 20th , 2067
It was a sensational day at the plate for Seattle Sea Serpents second baseman David Doug, but a tough one for the team, as the Sea Serpents dropped the contest 12-11 to the Death Valley Scorpions.
Even with the loss, Doug was pure misery for the Death Valley pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-5 in an explosive display of hitting.
"It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Doug, who is the 25-year old second baseman .
"Doug really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Scorpions manager told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
David Doug doubled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
So far this season Doug has hit .277 with 7 home runs, 19 RBIs and scored 13 times.
