Rougarous Blank Lunar Base, Slothsburg Winner Wednesday, September 6th , 2073 The Lunar Base Space Rangers manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the New Orleans Rougarous. The Space Rangers were overpowered by New Orleans starter Steven Slothsburg, who hurled his club to victory, 10-0. "It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," said. Over 9 innings, Slothsburg blanked Lunar Base on 5 hits with no walks and 5 strikeouts. "I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Slothsburg said. "I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one." So far this year, Slothsburg has made 26 starts, tossed 165.2 innings, struck out 132 batters and walked 34.
