Fernandez Jr. Belts Bunch of Base Hits Wednesday, August 17th , 2078 All game long, Indianapolis's Dee Fernandez Jr. was rattling the walls at Hammond Park and banging out base hits against the Boise Raptors. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Apex had a win, 7-2. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 27-year-old second baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Dee Fernandez Jr. doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season, Fernandez Jr. is batting .277 with 8 home runs.
