Semi-Finals Goes the Distance, Providence Prevails Monday, November 8th , 2032 The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat were on full display tonight at Old Bay Stadium as the Semi-Finals stretched to the final game. It was the Providence Crabs feeling the thrill of victory, with a 5-2 win over the Vancouver Vandals, who were feeling the devastation of coming up short in their quest to make the World Series. "There's no way around it -- this sucks," said Vancouver manager . "Congratulations to Providence, but I won't sugarcoat it, no one is happy about anything that transpired here tonight." Instrumental in the 4-3 series win was right fielder Dorothy Morimura, who was named MVP. He hit .370 with a .433 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 5 runs. "We've got the most important stat of all and that's this final win -- that's the one that matters," he said. The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Semi-Finals finishes.
